Established in 2006 with three events planned that year, our aim was to create a relaxed and sociable golf society which could be enjoyed by all standards of golfer both male and female. In 2008 we are now running five events, three singles competitions and two team events, all of which attract around twenty five competitors from our membership. Our competitions are played on a variety of courses around the Surrey/Sussex borders, aiming to provide a challenge for the better golfers without making the day a traumatic experience for those of us a little less gifted in the golf department. We have our own handicapping system which I doubt would pass muster at the Royal and Ancient, but it has provided competition winners from all standards of golfer. Membership for 2009 is £10. This includes issue of the sought after Farmhouse Golf Society Polo Shirt which is produced annually. The Rules Bit Your own set of clubs is a good start and we do have a bit of a dress code, no jeans, trainers or T shirts and suitable dress for the clubhouse. Standard golf rules apply on the course.
